OWC SSD Install Video
Note for OWC Aura N-Series or OWC Aura X-Series SSD Upgrades
macOS 10.13 High Sierra (or later macOS) must be installed on the host computer before installing the OWC Aura N-Series or OWC Aura X-Series SSD. These OS versions include an EFI firmware update for your host computer. Without this update, your new SSD will not function once installed.
Aura Pro X for MacBook Air
NOTE: Before installing an OWC Aura Pro X SSD in your MacBook Air, carefully peel the thin plastic liner off the top of the thermal pad.
Do NOT remove the thermal pad itself. The thermal pad is important for your Aura Pro X SSD to function properly.
This upgrade requires a Pentalobe compatible screwdriver, and a Torx T5 screwdriver.
